Why We Built This Site
Arkansas provides several public access routes, yet each answers a different question. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office handles jail and sheriff-created records. Court clerks maintain charges, dockets, and dispositions. Arkansas State Police, supported by ACIC, controls the statewide criminal-history process, while the Arkansas Department of Corrections and Arkansas Sex Offender Registry maintain their own systems. Bringing those roles together makes it easier to choose an official source and understand its limits.

What We Cannot Do
This is a privately run reference site, with no affiliation to an Arkansas court, sheriff, police department, or state agency. Its role has clear limits:
- We cannot run an official background check or pull a criminal record for anyone
- We cannot file sealing petitions, records requests, or other paperwork on anyone's behalf
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot promise that an office detail, fee, or procedure has not changed
Only the record holder, such as the sheriff, a court clerk, or Arkansas State Police, can issue an official criminal record or certified copy.
Search Partners
Outside providers operate search boxes that appear on some pages. Each provider controls its service, result set, and prices. A paid signup reached through one of those tools may generate a referral fee that supports the resource. Jefferson County Criminal History does not set partner charges or determine what their results contain.
